What's Worth Living
Dried eyes and
Dirty shoes
Often paths we take
We do not choose
Some memories can’t help
But be scars
Our spirits are strong
But not our hearts
One is truth
The other is life
One knows battle
The other holds no knife
Which matters more
I cannot tell
Do we desire heaven
Or do we fear hell?
A questions worth
Is decided by the answer
The human spirit
Is one of a dancer
The stage is different
For each kind
The choreography changes
For each mind
A silver sun
And a ruby red sea
We must remember
That we must believe
In the color swapped world
That children create
With their inventor’s crayons
And lack of hate
School taught lessons
Get us to work
Nighttime lessons
Get us to hurt
To be truthful
We know learn how to lie
What is living
If we couldn’t die?
If we could choose
The paths we take
Would we find what’s worth living
Or would it be a mistake?
