Soldier
Lonely soldier dry your tears its almost over soldier
The train has almost stopped, soon you will see her
Swallow those frightened whimpers soldier and face the fight
When you close your eyes everything is all right
Remember why you’re here soldier, the freedom you fight for
And when this battle’s over you still might fight a hidden war
But remember why I love you soldier, for all those times you face
I love you for loving the million Americans with no face
I raise a glass to toast you and you bow, a gentleman
I wish there was a better way soldier, thank you for taking the stand
