The year begins in January.
The days are short and cold.
The snow piles high and all I think is, I can't wait until February.
So February begins and the days are short and cold.
The snow is still piling high and all I can think is, I can't wait until March.
March arrives cold and dreary, occasionally giving us false hopes of spring.
I think to myself, I can't wait until April.
April is here with its rain and wind.
I think to myself, What is that? A patch of green sprouting out of the ground? I can't wait
until May.
It's now May.
The days are sunny and beginning to get warm.
I think to myself, I can't wait until June.
June is here and school is out.
The days are long and cheery. I am now ready for fireworks and barbecues.
I think to myself, I can't wait until July.
It's July and the pools are open.
I love to lay out in the sun.
Surprisingly there is no rush for August.
September rolls around and students prepare for school.
The days are still long and sunny.
I begin to think to myself, When will October come with its brightly colored leaves? I can't
wait.
October has come. The leaves are red and orange, yellow and brown.
I think to myself, I can't wait until November.
Turkey and stuffing are on the table. The first day of Christmas shopping has begun.
I think to myself, When will December come?
December comes and the snow begins to fall again.
Christmas passes along with the New Year.
I think to myself, I can't believe it is already January.
