Taking You
Take a chill pill, take a breath
The trauma becomes less
I took your whispered laugh
Put it in my pocket- I'm saving it for a new path
I take the road of inside jokes
Yet all of a sudden everyone wants to be on our inside?
This is odd
has the hatred died?
Well she's in love now
I'm happy for her
I'm working my way
But bad things hold too much allure
I wish I could take your smile
Hold it safely in my heart
Light one up & promise
That we shall never be apart
I wish I could find you now and tell ya
How far I've gotten without you here
But it makes no difference
I am human, I still have fear
Though quite grown up I may be
You will never know one secret of me
