moon

He's what ends the piercing light

When time ends day, he brings night

He is apathy

Only you can see

He is the bat

Hiding behind a tree

He is the cold

That came with the winter

He is the blood

At the tip of a splinter

If he was a heart

He would be broken

If he was the words

He wouldn't be spoken

If life was a piece of wood

He would be the knife

If he was a sword

He would end your life

He is the tear

If you should cry

He is the needle

In your eye

He's what hides behind the light

And comes out at night

He's what whittles away

At the ending day

He is the silence

At the end of a call

He is the sadness

Of it all

He is the ditch

That once was a niche

light

She is a melody

A beautiful tree

She's not the apathy

But a love that is free

She is a heart

That's not broken

She is the words

That will be spoken

She brings the sun

In the beginning of May

She is the happiness

That lights up the day

She will not run and will not hide

She is not the hole that is open wide

She has not cried

She is not a piece of wood

That can splinter

She knows not cold

In the dead of winter

She's no secret that you can keep

She's not the one to make you weep

Skies that were gray

She turns blue

She is the one

You always knew

If you opened your eyes

And looked at the sky

She would be there

To say good-bye.

Without the light, there is no moon

Light is happiness, the other is doom
