My Simple Dream
The song of angel’s voice you are,
The rose that shall not wither.
Your touch the warmth of life itself,
The glow of candle-light.
Your eyes the blue of gentle skies,
The wind that shall come hither.
Your smile the glow of sun-lit moons,
Like dreams upon a noble night.
You are my light, my soul, and heart,
And should that die, my simple dream,
My life, I’ll gladly part.
I’ll chase the night, and catch the stars, for you, and only you.
You have the gift that no one has and that is called my heart.
