Brothers MAG
Two brothers I had once
When I wasn't here.
When I was old enough to understand
I knew I had to know.
In the living room I stand
and opened the box that held the clipping
that offered the shattering news.
My brother was dead
I had only one left
One brother I have left
and I know he loves me.
He's older and stronger now,
and so am I.
Out in the streets,
he hangs with his friends
Every shooting I hear
I fear for the day
When I will hear
No brothers I have left.
