CRASH
as I walk
s l o w l y
leaving my mark
in the wet sand.
TURNING
I pause to watch the
footprints fade a little
with each departing whitecap.
And I wonder ...
when I no longer walk the beaches,
will my memory remain?
Or wash away like footprints
in the sand?
