Fairytale Dreams.
voice your opinion
yell out to the crowds
make something of your life
your heads always in the clouds.
you sit in the corner
with a book to your noise
praying to stay hidden
and never be exposed.
love is unexpected
and your fallling pretty hard
but will you come out of the shadows,
and let down your guard?
you try to look appealing
when you see him around
he looks at you and smiles
and you know that you are bound.
this is all new to you
and your trying not to fall
your trying to stick out
and not blend in with the wall.
you need extra courage
and a way to speak up
but instead you fonddle with your hair
and stare down at your cup.
you chug down your drink
and walk up to him
words catch in your throat
and its filled to the brim.
he compliments your dress
and you blush in surprise
he makes your heart pound
and he doesn't even try.
your filled with delight
as he asks your to dance
you jump at the opprutinty
and don't miss your chance.
your excited and nervous
your palms start to sweat
your nerves are on fire
and you try not to fret
a slow song comes on
and he gently take your hand
your suddenly relaxed
like this was all planned.
you lean into him
as your feet start to move
aross the dance floor
its a dream come true.
then the song is over
and you realize he's gone
he's back with his date
and to where he belongs.
the spell is fading
but there's no glass slipper here
reality sinks in
and it everything you feared.
your filled with disguiste
as you cover your eyes
and run to the bathroom
so he doens't see you cry
you thought he was special
you thought you saw a spark
but he only damaged your heart
and it will always bear a mark.
so back to the corner
and blending in in the halls
until another prince charming
invites you to the bawl.
