When Will They Understand? MAG
As you hold me in the spotlight,
My head upon your shoulder,
I think about the future,
And what it will be like when we are older.
Will we have to run and hide?
And hold ourselves,
Until everything's alright?
Our own secret world,
Full of love,
All our thoughts are kept inside.
Do they really know just how I feel,
Or how you've changed my point of view.
Do they understand the helping hand
You've given me through it all?
How can they come to notice?
When will they see right through?
When will they finally realize,
The only one I love is YOU?
They treat us like children,
Saying it's only puppy love.
But our hearts know better,
Telling me that forever it will be us.
Should I stop and cry,
Should I hold my breath,
And wish for them to let us be?
I want to hold your hand,
And understand,
That they'll see it one day.
How can they come to notice?
When will they see right through?
When will they finally realize,
The only one I love is YOU?
