The lake, half hidden by the trees
Is like my love for you
Although we see a glimmer of it
It's almost hidden from your view
This shouldn't be happening
This shouldn't be true
As silly as it sounds
I can't help but fall in love with you
I tried to tell you
But the words were hard to find
Even if I ignore you
You're still on my mind
To you I would give anything
Even if it were for a smile
I would do anything
Even walk on coals for a mile
I just want to let you know
How this is truly so
But take it from me
That this can never be
