Night
Blackness surrounds the earth
Dipping it into a pit of tar
Wherever you look the night goes as far
It skims the ocean
It brushes the sky
Why does it do this?
I don't know why
Even though in the dark we cannot see
I know that you are always standing next to me

It's very interesting how you said night is like dipping the earth into a pit of tar, when I, personally, would have used a more... sweeter way to describe it.
I like seeing different styles, though!
