My Curtains
My curtains whispered in the breeze,
yet I did not know their tongue,
that similar to swaying trees,
the soft tones that they sung.
Quite reluctantly I took a glance,
and I wish I could remember,
Those ghostly figures as they danced,
On a midnight in September.
Such a delicate sight to see...
Their faces pale and fare,
in joy they did not notice me,
nor would they ever care.
And the breeze! It's scent of rain.
and my head was clear of fear.
and for a second I felt sane,
And i wished the time could disappear.
But time closed my eyes, as it came,
and I a helpless pawn -
- woke up to see that nothing was the same...
the magic was, indeed, all gone...
