The Window

Through those large windows I used to see,
A wonderful life ahead of me.
I would watch the birds
So full of life
As they took off
Into a beautiful flight
It’s quite amazing how insight transforms
Into something that can make you mourn
Over those large windows
Which now seem too small
To notice anything worth living at all…
