The Never Ending War
“The Never Ending War”

The piercing screams run through my mind
And I open my eyes to suddenly find
An unfortunate image in my view,
My alarm clock that says 6:32

The first decision of the day
 Approaches with no delay,
And I give my alarm a slap
 To snooze a little nap

 There it goes another time,
Like a rollercoaster in my mind,
 It is now 6:39
And I’m thinking why should I even rise and shine?

I just want to stay in my alluring bed
Without the thoughts of school in my head
One day off is okay right?
So I’m going back to sleep to end this fight.
