If You Were Jupiter
If you were Jupiter
you’d still wish that you were Mars.
If you could be the moon
you’d still be jealous of the stars.

If perhaps you were the sky
you’d still be jealous of the land.
If you could be the sea
you’d still be jealous of the sand.

 If we were together
you’d still wish to be apart.
 If we weren’t together
you’d wish for a fresh new start.

 What you really truly want,
 I don’t think we’ll ever understand.
 It leaves me so confused.
left like sand slipping through your hand.

 If you could be me
 you’d be jealous of yourself.
I’ll always hate that horrid thought
 of you, with someone else.
