Contaminated Guidance
Ignorance and arrogance have forever been in allies in the fight against intelligence.
Awareness can sometimes be the only element that can even the score between the two.
But when guidance becomes contaminated, where does the sound mind turn to?
All other logical paths have been infiltrated.
So in this war, who will prevail?
Blinded by the truth, the two opposing sides neglect to claim the actual outcome.
A war is fought, too many die.
Yet despite the casualties, ignorance blinds the senses,
making it impossible for any lesson to be learned from the conflict.
So why hasn't mankind learned from any of this?
Why haven't we even captured a meager moral from the carnage?
Our eyes refuse to lie, yet our hearts still choose to deceive us.
Do the deaths that result from war merely happen for no reason?
Or does the violence simply occur in the name of vain attempts?
When a darkened and damp place becomes bright once again,
should fear enshroud our hearts or should nobility thrive within our minds.
