Can I Have That Final Hug?
this is the moment in everyone's life,
where they stand up and say goodbye,
wave farewell or wink their eye,
as emotion spreads like wild fire,
I want you to stay but you will leave,
totally helpless as this must be,
you're like me air, without you I can't breathe,
because that's how much you mean to me,
so now it's night and I'm all alone,
watching you taking pictures on your phone,
of all the people you'll miss when you're gone,
and there's no way that I'm going home,
I'm patiently waiting for you to come my way,
like an empty-stomached bird of prey,
because when you come I know what I'll say,
that I'll miss you so much everyday,
so I'm waiting in the corner so anxious,
to collect a final memory of us,
but what I see is so noxious,
your ignorance of me is so obnoxious,
seeing you with them having so much fun,
disposing of all the things I've done,
whilst I'm alone feeling heartbroken,
and that's when you turn around and you come,
you say you feel all my warming love,
and you would stay here if you could,
because glorious memories are not enough,
so I ask can I have that final hug?
