The Ocean
The ocean’s where it’s at on summer days.
Thou shall run through the hot sand while panting.
The sand grows colder as it meets the waves.
Submerge yourself and with them you’re crashing.
And along with the current thou shall float.
Stretch your limbs, feel the cool air, lay in peace.
Sway along, similar to a sail boat.
With refreshing water your mind’s at ease.
And I am free, alive, my mind is clear.
On my skin, the sun, with its rays beaming.
The creatures below may arise some fear.
And yet I swim deeper, still I’m gleaming.
And I swim forth in a rapid motion,
I am grateful for this very ocean.
