In Response to an Almost Tragedy
Unspoken words to an unannounced friend,
echo of walls of nothing, the end.
Unstated submission to an unintentional dream,
oh, it would seem, you are a dream, it would seem.
And my unwhispered phrases fall on unopened ears
and it isn't enough to kill the tears, to kill the fears.
And I know, I know what it is to feel alone,
when a sea of faces would call you there own.
And I know, I know what it is to hold a hand
while hoping the dark grey doesn't come. It wasn't planned,
all you ever do is give,
but live, just live,
keep going and breathe,
and don't ever leave.
