My Modern Elizabethan Tragedy
I’m tired of the lies,
The part I’ve always played.
A tragedy so strange
That Shakespeare must have staged.
You were once my Romeo
and I, your Juliet.
That love would seek me once
But I just didn’t fret.
Time flew by so quickly
Before you shot me down.
This wound you cannot heal
For I still have not grown.
