Every Day
Every day the same old thing,
And every day I grieve,
And I grieve,
But it never makes a difference.
Because every day I wake up excited to see her sweet little whiskers,
And her warm yellow eyes look at me.
I wake up excited to hear her purring,
Telling me she loves me,
And every day she is never there.
Not since that day,
The Day Mom & Dad told me she ran away,
Even though I saw them wrap her up in a blanket,
Put her in the back of the truck,
And never bring her home again.
