My Escape
This place is dark
 With trees all about
 Deep down in the forest
 Where all things are peaceful

 This place was built
 A long time ago
 In a great gentle tree
 Older than I

The hair stands up on my skin
 Chilling air brushes my cheek
 The air relaxes my soul
As I smell the forest must

The sounds of the gentle chirp
Of the cricket fills my ears
This sound so peaceful, puts me to sleep

 I taste the fog that
 Surrounds me
This makes me feel calm and at ease

This place so calm and peaceful
Lets me rest and feel free

 This place I found while
 Walking in the forest is
 My second home
 In the old tree
