Life Without Her
Light reflecting of a window
Hit my eyes with a bang
 Never wanting to wake up
In a life where everything is wrong

Going out on a mission to find her
Went past the woods that always
 Sent chills up my arms
The scurrying of leaves made my feet move fast

 Kids running, playing
 Wishing I had their innocence
 Cottages lining up the road
With familiar scents filling up my nose

 Coming to my destination
 Opening the rusted gate
Looking for a special one among thousands
Getting tired and look, I found it

Mary Elise, loving daughter and mother
Died this very day, who knew, not you but I
She loved me; saw her die in my arms
 Felt nothing but despair, loneliness

 Darkening skies overhead
Leaving a bouquet of daisies, her favorite
 Said, goodbye mother
I will always love you forever.

I love it when poetry tells a story, and yours did.
Can you please read and rate my poem? It is called Alone Again, by Christina G.
I really think you will like the metaphors I used, because they match your style of writing. Thanks!
