The Truth About Boys
Black ones, white ones,
Everyone inbetween.
Heartbreakers, promise breakers,
Tall and lean.
A blessing, a savior,
At times in need.
A backstabber, a betrayer,
The can make us bleed.
Beautiful, generous,
Perfect in every way.
Gone so fast,
So far away.
We fall for them so quickly,
Before we can see.
They make us blind,
To our hearts true beat.
Loving or lying,
We can’t always tell,
Once they’ve put us,
Under their spell.
