Nightmares
Shiny silver pen
Slides across the thin sheet
She smiles as her feelings found words
Emotionally she’s dying inside
But manages to fake a light smile
She’s forced to talk about her life and her feelings
When really this is more therapeutic
Parents yell loud
As she climbs out the window
Covering her mouth so no one will hear
The pain she feels inside
They won’t miss me
She forces her self into thought
“Emilie”
Mom says
“Wake up from your dream”
Her life’s more like a nightmare
