Mirrors
What she saw
was an awkward
out of proportioned
girl
a girl who falls
without taking steps
a girl who drowns
her face in makeup
to make the reflection
seem pretty
a girl who's confidence
was torn apart by her
desperate attempt at perfection
on the other side
you could see a girl
that had been broken down
but not one that looked weak
you could see a strong girl
ready to face a fear
you could see a gorgeous face
holding in a fire
the first side was only seen
by the one looking in
but to the world
the other side
was the window to the girl
