Grandfather
In a dream I can see him again.
I can feel his beard he’s had since college,
his long, white hair flowing in the wind,
his flannel undone at the top with chest hair poking out,
his work boots tied up with his aged jeans over them,
his bright orange hat atop his head
and his shotgun across his lap.
But then he is gone.
