Why Weep Willow?
I sit and ponder,
While I sit yonder,
The thoughts of a willow tree.
Swaying with sadness,
Filled with madness,
The thoughts of a willow tree.
Why so sad?
Are you mad?
Said I to the willow tree.
He looked down,
With a frown,
And spewed his thoughts to me.
“I stay here,
With fear, fear, fear,
From every gust of wind.
Maybe one day,
Wind, my friend,
Will not howl and hiss at me.”
