Dirt Words
your dirt words are words of hate,
words of disbelief,
as i sit in the depths of my seat,
i sense a tear tumbling toward the edge of my cheek,
you think that just because we're different,
you can treat me differently,
but don't think you'll be going any farther,
if you think you'll be playing with me,
because i'm human too,
and all the things you do,
they hurt,
hurt like another thousand paper cuts,
hurt like a dirtect stab to the gut,
you're one of the reasons people our age even consider the fact of committing suicide,
and i'm sure you could even care less,
but there's one thing i must confess,
i've had dirt words directed toward me most of my life,
and i would always keep my mouth zipped closed,
because people like you are so closed-minded,
so i leave the area and flee,
but now i feel a brand new me,
and now i see,
i need to build a wall around myself,
from your dirt words,
and all the cruel things in this world,
because these dirt words and cruel herds aren't doing much but bring me down in life,
and i feel like taking a stand,
a pledge to myself,
to not hold my feelings on the shelf,
no longer will i be a part of you entertainment kit,
take me out, take me out,
i've had enough of it.
