Dandelion Birthday
She’s different from all the other girls,
By no means mad,
Never ever sad,
Carries a smile high on her face,
Like the sun shining for someone to see,
She has a heated heart,
Warmer than a breezy day blanket,
Anyone with the opportunity to be her friend should take it,
She’s the queen of all joy,
Permeating smiles across people’s faces,
She makes a fool of herself in most cases,
But that’s all peachy keen,
Because I can tell she’s happy just being with me,
She’s like a sandy shore in the summer,
You just want to stay with it forever,
She likes to get between your fingers and toes,
And the next thing you know,
She’s in your life permanently,
A years gone by,
And it’s time to say happy birthday,
Blow out your dandelions,
Make a wish on each and every one,
Make them wisely,
Make them count,
Although I know,
They’ll never run out.
