Sometimes I lie awake at night
Sometimes I lie awake at night and think what if I was her:
the skinny girl
the "It" girl
the athletic girl
or the musician
then, I realize I don't even know me
I cry as I realize my stupidity
I find my every flaw
my every ounce of fat,
and the dullness of my face
one day I'll be me I say
lying to my face
until then I'm a follower
missing out on life
