The Complainer and the Con Artist
Harsh wind blows a face and chills the nose
Cold hearts and dark thoughts shed no light
Eyes scan over the horizon but nothing grows
Only the midnight ravens take flight
A man stands still in the bitter frost
Waiting for fresh new meat
The deep forest leaves the mind lost
He silently waits for the one he will greet
Time passes
Carrying on to others madness
Finally a young woman crosses were there would be grasses
The man’s face soon fills with gladness
To himself he does confer
She is dainty and cheerful
Not having a clue what awaits her
Not knowing love will vanish and green eyes will soon be tearful
He grabs her attention with his mysterious ways and devilish appearance
Asking her the business of her being and existence
She begins to put between them, distance
But he is full of perseverance
He talks of life and his miserable subsistence
How he wishes it could all change
The woman asks if his words were so would he have any resistance
To things that involves pain and all that is strange
He asks her the same
Again she says nothing
So quiet so tame
Not even the icy snow will cling
The woman fed him her suspicion
Being cleanse of all good
His shear presence made her want to fire ammunition
Perhaps he is just misunderstood?
Have you a purpose? If not anything to trade? Says he
She is silent
The words sting like a bee
She wonders if things will turn violent
They continue to talk
Of pain and suffering
But watching each other more that of a hawk
Neither move nor cringe
He complains of his low paying job
His kids that say they hate him
His wife that calls him a slob
And his patience that hangs on a limb
How life just so frustrating
Why put up with people
That always keep him waiting
How some days he just wants to scream on top of the steeple
The sweet young woman tells him
It’s not so bad
Why does everything have to be grim
You have not much reason to be sad
Change your attitude
She does suggest
Show some gratitude
For everyone that lives is blessed
The man sneered
Blessed by whom
What have I to be grateful for, all my light has disappeared
I might as well rot in my own gloom
The young woman saw this coming
She knew he would not listen
She pursed her lips and started humming
While the snow started to glisten
He could see this was becoming a bit much
Turing away
For his life he still wishes clutch
The sky turns gray
The woman spoke in a hushed tone
I know who you are
What you live and how much you groan
In all reality you are just scar
You don’t do anything
But draw attention so ugly
Live life like a king
But act so smugly
You believe your life is worthless
How you want to die and quit
Yet with comes to giving it up you second-guess
Why do you not admit?
You do not deserve to belong
On this planet
Of the strong
Dripping on your neck beads of sweat
Nerves and worry fled the man
Thinking fast he took off and ran
Thinking about his life span
And the failed plan
Ensnared in her trap he was
Fell right in like a rat
Heart beating all a buzz
And with that
Darkness draped over the sky
A cry
Then nothing to defy
Not even an ally
Then
Drip
Drop
Drip
Drop
The blood falls in the new born puddle
There he lies
No soul
No love
No life
He constantly complained of life
Tormented his kids
And his wife
A new woman came along
He complained to her as well
But to bad his whining was all too soon gone
For this woman originated from the depths of hell
He spoke of hating his existence
Wanting everything to end
With out any assistance
He did not intend
For the woman
To steal his soul
And cut short his life span
Now he rots in a firry hole
And the woman so fair
Walks on
With no one to spare
For her sympathy, her innocence, her kindly, all a con
