look me in the eye
look me in the eye
tell me you don't see someone fat
that's what the mirror tells me
but I've been told the mirror deceives
It deceives your looks
even your perception of yourself
I scream and run to my room in tears
the only time I'm loud is when my spirit breaks
the sorrow in my heart
is built upon deception
deception of my looks,
others thoughts of me,
my meek personality
I had thought I'd broken from my shell,
but I can see that's a lie
So look me in the eye
tell me I'm not fat
tell me I'm no longer a loner
go ahead and try
but chances are you haven't changed my view
because the mirror is my best friend and my worst enemy
I'll only trust in one and you my friend are not the one
