My Best Friend
You were my family, my home, my pack
Until you left me and never came back.
And as I sat alone in my crate
You still I never did hate.
But as days, weeks, years, when by,
I sat in my crate and began to cry.
I knew you had left, would come back never again.
What had I done for you to leave me back then?
You were my family, my home, my pack,
How could you betray me and never come back?
As I sat in my crate I would cry
But people would just walk by
And give a sad, deep, hopeless sigh,
They never gave me just one try.
One day they took me into a room
I did not know if this was hope or doom.
They put in me a liquid, so cold, so deep.
And I closed my eyes in forever sleep.
