I lay in the steaming Sun,
Staring out at invisible stars,
Until they melt across my skin,
In a galactic, shimmering way
That makes my heart spin.
I roll in fields of peppermint,
Pressed against cool grass,
While the wind tears at my hair,
In a persistent, nagging way
That makes my heart tear.
