Losing Sanity
Youthful mind so easy to impress on
Obedience the only option
Undoubtedly she listened when he gave her a challenge
Only he ever listened
Because she in turn, listened to him
Sitting there, locked up
Everyone else thought him crazy, she thought him human
Really what is sanity? she thought
Varying, intricate stories he told to her, all with subtle hints of his mental sickness
Every time he rubbed his traits onto her, more and more
Warping her mind slowly, so she wouldn’t recognize it
Expecting this reaction all along, as was his plan
Losing herself in his twisted imagination
Losing the will to ever question sanity again
