The Forest
As I lay on the ground
green grass surrounding
damp earth all around
my thoughts abounding
of the sweet rest
deep in this forest
Of my otherself
I have no need
I am just myself
my mind is freed
Imagination at its best
deep in tis forest
You and I
can forever stay
let our minds fly high
our worries melt away
Peace always, never stressed
deep in this forest
The desert plains hold too much strife
and they have so little life
The dense jungles hold too much fear
with lions and tigers stalking near
The arctic tundras are so cold
above ancient ice of winters old
But together here we safely rest
deep in this forest
