Autumn's Dance
The leaves are falling to the ground,
And changing shade from red to brown.
The sky is grey and wind is strong.
My mind has wandered all day long.
The forest floor is fraught with leaves,
The wind still blowing though the trees.
I sit beneath this willow tree,
My little daughter on my knee.
I tell to her of autumn's dance,
That keeps me in this daily trance,
That makes me want this time to last,
But soon I know it will be past.
