Friends
So many people I meet
Quite often do we repeat
“Hey! What’s going on?” and reply
“Nothing much”. I often wonder why
Whenever we see
That group will never flee
Though a stillness they will face
When we show them a mace
They keep you company when sad
And multiply your glow when you are glad
They can be diamonds and stars
Even those people caught behind cars
The provide support as much as they can
They might even be a devoted fan
They are the best among women and men
People with whom I cross destiny’s
People who lend their company
People who I can talk to
When feeling gay or blue
For I know they will understand
What has happened even from where they stand
They are my mirror or simile
For whom I would even run a mile
For them I’ll do whatever I can
Will even push myself as their fan
Will go for it no matter what it takes
But whatever happens we’ll see them again in a few shakes
I cant know what I’ll do
Without such a good friend like you
To keep me happy and in glee
In spite of my life’s never ending sea.
And if I am at a loss
I can count on you ,my favorite boss
When I’m not in right
I depend on you to give me blight
So I may understand
And so make my stand
In this world I can count on none
No one but you the only one
You are the one I care for most
As without you I’m toast
Various kinds of people I meet
In various ways we great
So many ways of saying hello
To that dear little fellow
As the air grows cold
The better friends enfold
As the air grows warm
The friends counts swarms
As the days grew hot
These friends should be counted too should they not?

I feel that the poem has a nice style and speaks from the heart. It reminds me of my friends and how I treasure them.
