My Love's Not A Ghost
I saw the planes overhead,
And I covered my ears.
I should've hidden my eyes,
There wouldn’t have been tears.
But every bomb was dropped,
The bursts shattered my home.
My hands hunt through the rubble
Someone say I'm not alone.
Can you cry out to me?
Let me know you're alive.
Can you tell me this love,
Will come to survive?
All I need to hear
Is my name on your lips.
I just have to know,
That the hands on my hips
Aren't pushing away,
They're pulling me close
Someone assure me
My love's not a ghost.
