I Remember
There was snow on the ground when I said good bye
The tears falling over the brim of my eye
I remember every day when I when I came home
She would always be waiting somewhere nearby
I remember the way that she wagged her tail
Taking walks underneath the cloudy fall sky
I remember when her face was growing white
Tripping over her in the dark, walking by
Her fur became coarse and she started to limp
So wonderful, she was, no one can deny
I know in the end that everything must go
But too soon, me not ready to say goodbye
