Black Shadow
We lurk through the jungle. Rustling sounds come from the side. Our victim is close, the jaguar. If we want to satisfy the god Abaddon, we must do the deed. The sacred beast must be sacrificed to the divine god. We don’t want him to shoot a river of fire from atop the mountain.
The beast is in site. A silky black shadow within the trees and bushes. The first shot is made bulls eye, right in the thigh. One more shot, and we’ll be able to move in. It struggles trying to stay a top the branch. Slicing through the air, the second shot is made. We now close in attacking it with our spears.Blood stains the plants and ground, nothing is saved from the crimson blood. Part of the deed is done. Its blood soaks our clothing as we bring it to the flaming mountain to finish the sacrifice.
