A tale of two legs

Across the meadow
and in through the trees
there lived a sad man
with no legs below the knees
He was very unhappy
and lonely as can be
this poor, sad man
without legs below the knees
He couldn't run
and was the subject of tease
this sad, lonely man
without legs below the knees
One day passed a woodsman
who made from the trees
two new wooden legs
the man attached to his knees
Now he could run and walk
as all people could see
this grateful, glad man
with new legs below the knees
