REFLECTIONS
The mirror is what I see:
what I see in it
is terrifying.
A monster stands before me,
It's ugly mug faces me while
its unholy yellow eyes
stare.
Stare at me.
When I back away in fear
it copies me.
Moving as I do.
Surprised, I cautiously approach it
and raise my hand to the glass.
It follows suit;
moving its clawed, hairy hand
meeting me at the smooth surface
of the mirror.
As we touch we realize
at the same moment.
It is I.
And I am it.
