It’s not that simple
Letting go like they say
My heart beats for you
I think about it everyday
I could never let go
Though seas may divide us
Our love always stays true
Though they don’t understand
It’s all the same to me and you
I wear my heart on my sleeve
For I know one day you’ll return
Though war is an evil thing
I lay down at night
Safe and secure
Because you fight for me
I’ll always be second
You made a vow to your country
And I made mine to you
Though law forbids us
Our love is forever true
And one day they will see it too.
