Change The Way We See
The shattered mirror on the wall
Full of possibilities
Broken glass begins to fall
Don’t change the way we look at all,
Instead change the way we see.
Bright lights of the city
Wide open for the world to find
Reflects the way that she
Not only sees, but does believe
That she can leave the past behind.
The secrets, but not ours to tell
Forgotten, kept her in a lull
Helped her upright when she fell
Spoke loudly, to her, spoke too well
Never spoke, “She’s beautiful.”
