todays the day
Today is the day I tell him
All of the things ive been wanting to,
For months.
Eh. Maybe I’ll wait till tomorrow,
Today is the day I walk up to him and say
Those three little words that mean so much
Those words that are such—
A hassle for the unprepared.
Today is the day he forgives me
For being too forward
And expressing my own feelings.
Im sorry im full of self expression
Today is the day he realizes
That I am the one for him
And I tell him its okay
Hes so oblivious and dim
Today is the day he realizes
That sarcasm is one of my better qualities
And that life can be at ease
If he would just go with the flow
Today is the day he walks up to me,
Smiles, that cute crooked grin,
Takes my arm because i-
Am with, him.
