The Way God Loves Us
The way God loves us is more
than we could ever imagine.
Like an unborn baby in her mother,
already adored by her father.
The way God loves us is more
than we could ever deserve.
Like a newborn baby on her mother’s arm,
guarded by her daddy from every harm.
The way God loves us is more
powerful than anything in the world.
Like a child gazing with so much trust in her eyes,
that her big strong daddy starts to cry.
The way God loves us is more
than the tightest hug and brightest smile.
Like a young lady going on her very first date,
and her father telling her not to be late.
The way God loves us is more
than the raging sea and pounding waves.
Like a father giving his baby away,
to the man of her dreams on her wedding day.
The way God loves us is more
than we could ever even fathom or explain.
Like an adoring daughter at her daddy’s side,
as he closes his eyes and peacefully dies.
The way God loves us is more
like the love between a father and child.
The strongest love in the universe,
that can never be broken by any curse.
The love that nothing can ever kill,
the heartbeat that will never still.
God gave it all in that one little word,
that is the most powerful one ever heard.
