Favorite Quote:
Men only think of their past right before their death, as if they were searching frantically for proof that they were alive.

Just because I'm giving up , doesn't mean i don't care. It means I'm tired of giving my everything and ending up with nothing.

I hear a voice coming from the shadows.
When I look all I see is broken windows.
The voice taunts and teases until my rage is about to burst.
Silence comes to relieve my tension, which seems to be a first.
I retire to my home and hope to keep it silent.
The voice returns mocking me until my thoughts turn violent.
It sounds familiar but I can’t place it, the years of sorrow have to my mind to mush.
The voice brings back a memory that I’ve kept secret and my rage begins to rush.
The only one who knows that event was me and me alone.
I turn and face a mirror and see a face that chills me to the bone.
It’s my face but not from the current time.
It’s the face I use to have when I committed that horrid crime.
Now I know I’ll never forget that sinful event as it rots in my mind.
Now I know and I’ll say this, “You can never leave your demons behind.”
